Year-one cost at 1, 5, and 8–10 users: Jobber vs Housecall Pro. Full tiers: Jobber pricing and Housecall Pro pricing.
Who this page is for
A residential maid service, a mixed residential/commercial cleaner, or a small janitorial shop with 1–10 people. The decision frame is how the book of work is built:
- Recurring vs one-off — weekly house cleans versus move-out / deep-clean jobs that need a quote.
- Residential vs commercial — homeowner portal and online booking versus nightly contracts, batch invoices, and site notes.
- Checklists and proof — what the cleaner sees on the phone, photos, client preferences.
- Crew logins — the second and fifth person on the roster, not a 40-site facilities desk.
If you are already past this band, see Jobber vs Housecall Pro vs ServiceTitan. ServiceTitan does not publish a list price. Aspire (ServiceTitan family) markets to the clean industry on a demo, still with no public dollar.
The short recommendation (from official lists, not a test)
Start with Jobber Core if you are solo, the $348 annual subscription is the constraint, and you need quotes, invoices, online booking, a website, and a 14-day Grow trial. Jobber’s cleaning page publishes one-time and recurring cleans, quote templates, optional line items (deep cleaning, interior windows, eco-friendly products, laundry), Find a Time (availability + drive time), checklists and photos in the mobile app, on-my-way texts, Client Hub, auto-pay for recurring appointments, and a separate commercial cleaning page.
Look at Housecall Pro Basic if you want job costing, a price book, review management, and consumer financing on the entry plan ($59/mo annual, $708 year one). Housecall Pro’s home cleaning page publishes drag-and-drop scheduling, recurring cleaning service plan agreements, routes and “On my way” texts with GPS vehicle tracking, online booking from Google or the website, cards / ACH / digital wallets, Instapay, check deposit, tipping, automatic review requests, and a FAQ that names residential, maid, commercial office, janitorial, pressure washing, carpet, green, and window work.
Do not pick on the five-user sticker. Jobber Connect (5) and Housecall Pro Essentials (5) both list $149/mo billed annually ($1,788 year one). Connect is the Jobber SKU that publishes automatic payments, checklists, QBO, and reminders. Essentials is the Housecall Pro SKU that publishes routes, GPS, photo reports, commissions, and QBO.
Checklists live on Connect (Jobber) and Essentials (Housecall Pro), not on Core or Basic. If the buying reason is a phone checklist the cleaner cannot skip, budget those mid-tiers — and they cost the same on annual billing.
Decision frame: recurring, one-off, residential vs commercial
Recurring vs one-off
| What the shop needs | What official pages actually say |
|---|---|
| Weekly / bi-weekly house clean | Jobber cleaning FAQ: set a cadence; visits create automatically. Housecall Pro cleaning FAQ: recurring jobs daily, weekly, or monthly; automate invoices, payments, and reminders; service plan templates with visit frequencies, discounts, or add-ons. |
| Card on file / auto-pay | Jobber Connect: automatic payments. Cleaning page: save a card, pay automatically, no follow-ups. Housecall Pro cleaning page: take payment at booking, charge saved cards for scheduled services, Instapay. Recurring Service Plans named on MAX; lower-plan add-on price not published. |
| One-off deep clean / move-out quote | Jobber cleaning page: quote templates, optional line items, photos and reviews on quotes, automatic quote follow-ups (Connect+). Optional line items and visual quotes are Grow on /pricing/. Housecall Pro cleaning page: estimates in minutes; Sales Proposal Tool is $40/mo on Basic/Essentials, included on MAX (EVIDENCE, estimating page). |
| Batch a day’s invoices | Jobber cleaning page: invoices for multiple visits, clients, or services in a few clicks. Housecall Pro cleaning page: invoices and payment links; commercial FAQ elsewhere names batch invoicing for recurring accounts (HVAC commercial FAQ on HCP — not claimed here as a cleaning-page line). |
A shop that is mostly recurring can live on Connect or Essentials. A shop that lives on quoted one-offs should look at Jobber Grow (optional line items, visual quotes, $149/mo annual solo / $229 at 5 users) or Housecall Pro’s proposal tool ($40/mo EVIDENCE, or MAX).
Residential vs commercial
| What the shop needs | What official pages actually say |
|---|---|
| Homeowner books online | Jobber: request forms and online booking on website / social / Client Hub; website included on every plan. Housecall Pro: book from Google search or the website; booking page with services, pricing, coverage areas. Online booking is on Basic. |
| Client preferences / access notes | Jobber cleaning FAQ: tracks preferences, instructions, service history; checklists, internal notes, photos, files. Files and Media Library is Plus on /pricing/. Housecall Pro cleaning FAQ: customer service history and preferences in one place; photo reports are Essentials. |
| Commercial contracts | Jobber has a dedicated commercial cleaning page: recurring visits, GPS tracking, reschedule with automatic notify, job costing, Client Hub. GPS on Jobber is team activity or fleet partners, not the Essentials phone-GPS line. Housecall Pro names commercial office cleaning and janitorial on the cleaning FAQ; janitorial page exists. Recurring Service Plans remain a MAX-named product. |
| Time tracking / payroll | Jobber cleaning page: advanced time tracking across jobs, breaks, and drive time; Gusto and QBO in the marketplace. Automatic time tracking is Grow on /pricing/. Housecall Pro cleaning FAQ: employee time tracking; Payroll is named on /pricing/ “Get more done” with no published dollar. |
Job costing: Housecall Pro Basic. Jobber Grow. A commercial cleaner who needs job costing on the cheap Housecall Pro plan still pays more than Jobber Core, and less than Jobber Grow, at one user ($708 vs $348 vs $1,788 year one).
Crew logins
Same extra-seat rules as the other hubs. Housecall Pro Essentials +$100/mo per extra user (FACT). MAX +$75/mo. Jobber extra-user $29/mo is EVIDENCE from the comparison page, not /pricing/. Bundles jump 5 → 10.
Year-one subscription (same table as the flagship)
USD. Official list. Post-promo Jobber annual rates. Processing extra.
| Shop | Jobber | Housecall Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Solo, cheapest annual | Core $29/mo → $348 | Basic $59/mo → $708 |
| ~5 users, mid-tier annual | Connect $149/mo → $1,788 | Essentials $149/mo → $1,788 |
| ~8–10 users | Connect 10 $229/mo → $2,748; Grow 10 $299/mo → $3,588 | MAX $299/mo (8 included) → $3,588; MAX at 10 = $449/mo → $5,388 |
Sources and extra-seat notes: Jobber vs Housecall Pro.
What we will not claim
These did not appear as named features on the Jobber or Housecall Pro cleaning pages we fetched:
- Supply / chemical inventory as a first-party SKU
- A published dollar for Housecall Pro Recurring Service Plans on Basic or Essentials
- Jobber phone GPS without a fleet partner (see flagship GPS note)
Aspire (servicetitan.com/products/aspire) markets job costing, equipment tracking, and commercial-clean research to the clean industry. Official path: Request a demo. No list price. Not a small-shop self-serve trial.

FAQ
Recurring residential — Jobber or Housecall Pro?
Both publish recurring visits and auto-pay. The five-user annual sticker is the same $149/mo (Connect vs Essentials). Pick on checklists + auto-pay (Connect) versus routes + GPS + photo reports (Essentials). Recurring Service Plans as a named Housecall Pro product sit on MAX.
I quote every job. Which plan?
Jobber Grow (optional line items, visual quotes) or Housecall Pro plus the Sales Proposal Tool ($40/mo EVIDENCE) / MAX. Core and Basic will send a quote; the extras are gated.
Commercial nights and weekends?
Jobber’s commercial cleaning page and Housecall Pro’s janitorial / commercial mentions are the official lists. Neither published a night-shift SKU. GPS and time tracking are the practical lines — and they are not on the cheapest plans.
