About Small Shop Fit

Small Shop Fit is an independent publisher. Not a software vendor. We do not sell Jobber, Housecall Pro, or ServiceTitan. We publish year-one cost tables so a 1–15 person lawn, cleaning, or HVAC shop can see what the official price lists actually say at their crew size.

Operator timezone: America/Denver. Dates on pricing tables are written as Updated 29 Aug 2026 (MDT) (or the next lock date), never as a floating “updated today.”

How the tables are built

1. Fetch the vendor’s official pricing page (and, where needed, a first-party help or LLM page).
2. Lock every dollar as FACT (official pricing page), EVIDENCE (another first-party page), or omit it.
3. Year-one subscription = official per-month rate × 12. Processing is a separate table. We do not mix a made-up revenue figure into year-one cost and call it a measurement.
4. Jobber’s dated “up to 40%” intro (the page said it ended 31 Aug 2026) is a dated fact. Published copy uses post-promo annual rates unless the live page still shows the intro.
5. ServiceTitan does not publish a list price. The official path is Request Pricing / Free Demo. We will not invent a per-tech rate.
6. Feature claims have to live on a first-party page we fetched. If a trade-specific feature is unpublished, the vertical hub says so.

The lock behind the 29 Aug 2026 tables is dated. When a vendor changes /pricing/, we re-fetch and change the tables. We do not “remember” a blog’s number.

What we do not do

• We do not write “we tested” unless we actually ran the product in a shop and can say so. Launch pages are sourced from official pages, not a lab.
• We do not invent contractor quotes, credentials, or author bios we cannot stand behind.
• We do not publish coupon codes, promo codes, or a deals URL.
• We do not treat G2 (or any review-site score) as a verdict.
• We do not fill $XX placeholders on a vendor page.
• We do not use third-party ServiceTitan ranges as fact.
• We do not pretend to review ServiceTitan for 40-truck fleets. The HVAC hub is small shops.

Who this is for

Owner-operators and small crews who are tired of vs-pages that disagree on the starting price. The information-gain on this site is crew-size math — including the five-user annual tie at $149/mo between Jobber Connect and Housecall Pro Essentials — and an honest blank column where ServiceTitan belongs.
