Jobber vs Housecall Pro vs ServiceTitan for shops leaving the 1–8 tech band
Small Shop Fit is an independent publisher. Not a software vendor.
Updated 29 Aug 2026 (MDT). Jobber and Housecall Pro dollars are from each vendor’s official pricing page. ServiceTitan does not publish a list price. We will not invent one.
Affiliate disclosure. Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you buy through them, Small Shop Fit may earn a commission. That does not change list prices. We are not approved for Jobber or Housecall Pro programs yet; trial links are placeholders. Read the full affiliate disclosure. ServiceTitan is not an affiliate relationship on this site.
Crew-size math for the two published lists: Jobber vs Housecall Pro. Tier detail: Jobber pricing and Housecall Pro pricing.
The answer in one screen
Stay on Jobber or Housecall Pro while the published 1 / 5 / 8–10 user SKUs still cover the roster and the owner can run the office from the same login as the field.
Talk to ServiceTitan when the shop has outgrown those SKUs, needs a dedicated office person on the board, or a rep is already quoting per technician. The official path is Request Pricing / Free Demo / Contact Sales. servicetitan.com/pricing does not print a dollar. Small Shop Fit will not either.
There is no blanket winner. The two self-serve products publish a price. The third does not.
When a 1–10 user plan stops fitting
This is a decision page for shops leaving the band the other compare covers. Signals, all from first-party pages — not from a test we ran:
The published seat math gets awkward.
- Jobber’s public list is 1 / 5 / 10 / 15 user bundles, then “Let’s chat.” 16+ is contact sales on Jobber’s own comparison page (EVIDENCE). Plus starts at 5 users and is the SKU Jobber describes for “teams who want to scale complex operations.”
- Housecall Pro MAX includes 8 users. Seats 9+ are +$75/mo each (FACT). Essentials extra seats are +$100/mo (FACT). Ten users on MAX is $449/mo annual ($5,388 year one). Franchise / multi-location is custom, no public rate.
- ServiceTitan’s model is per-technician. Quote: “Our per-technician pricing is designed to fit your business and goals, at any size.” No rate on the page.
The buying process changes. Jobber and Housecall Pro both publish a 14-day self-serve trial (Grow / MAX, no credit card). ServiceTitan’s official page is a Free Demo, not a 14-day trial. The demo form asks: industry, number of techs, “Do you have at least one full-time office employee?”, residential vs commercial, service-and-replacement vs construction/remodel. That office-employee question is the vendor telling you who they sell to.
Jobber’s own comparison page (jobber-vs-servicetitan, high-level table last updated 25 June 2026) tells you to pick ServiceTitan if you “run a large contracting business with dedicated office staff,” need “advanced workflows across dispatch, reporting, field operations, and back-office processes,” and are “ready for a longer implementation and demo-led buying process.” That is Jobber’s framing. ServiceTitan does not publish a setup duration on /pricing. We are not repeating Jobber’s “4–5 weeks” as a measured fact.
If you are still a solo or a five-person crew deciding between two published lists, you are on the wrong page. Use Jobber vs Housecall Pro.
Year-one subscription: two published lists, one blank column
USD. Subscription only. Annual column is the default. Processing extra.
| Shop | Jobber (post-promo annual) | Housecall Pro (annual) | ServiceTitan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo, cheapest published plan | Core $29/mo → $348/yr | Basic $59/mo → $708/yr | not published — sales-led |
| ~5 users, mid-tier annual | Connect $149/mo → $1,788/yr | Essentials $149/mo → $1,788/yr | not published — sales-led |
| ~8–10 users, published SKUs | Connect 10-user $229/mo → $2,748/yr; Grow 10-user $299/mo → $3,588/yr | MAX $299/mo (8 included) → $3,588/yr; MAX at 10 users $449/mo → $5,388/yr | not published — sales-led |
At five users, Connect and Essentials tie at $149/mo. That is the information-gain on the two-way page. It does not tell you what ServiceTitan would quote.
Do not lock any ServiceTitan dollar. Third-party 2026 blogs quote per-tech ranges. None of that is on servicetitan.com. If you see a blog number, it is UNVERIFIED. We will not reprint it.
Jobber still showed the Aug 31, 2026 “up to 40%” intro on the day this page was updated. Tables use post-promo annual rates. After that date, re-check Jobber pricing.

What ServiceTitan does publish (no dollars)
FACT, servicetitan.com/pricing:
| Package | Official one-liner | CTA |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | “Get started with the must-have tools for your business.” | Request Pricing |
| Essentials | “Streamline your operations with industry-leading features.” | Request Pricing |
| The Works | “Accelerate your growth with the full ServiceTitan suite.” | Request Pricing |
Shared feature chips listed on all three packages: Dispatching, Scheduling, Call Booking, Invoicing, Pricebook, Mobile Estimates, Payroll Management (Works: “Configurable Payroll”), Advanced Reporting, Commission Tracking, Customizable Memberships.
Other lines on that page, still no prices: Intuitive Dispatching, Call Recording, Adaptive Marketing, Automated Checklists, In-Depth Reporting, GPS tracking for enroute technicians, instant estimates, mobile service reminders.
Official sales language:
“See the Value of ServiceTitan with a Free Demo”
“Each business has unique goals and we help find the best-value plan that will help you meet your own business goals.”
Buttons: Request Pricing · Request a personalized demo · Contact Sales · Get Demo.
Starting price: none published. Do not write “starting at $X.”
Monthly / annual prices: none.
Per-user fees: model is per-technician; no rate.
Payment processing fees: not on the pricing page.
Add-on prices: not on the pricing page. Marketing mentions “Upgrade to Pro Products” / Field Pro (formerly Sales Pro) with no dollars.
Free trial: not stated. Official path is a Free Demo.
Contracts: not on the pricing page.
Editor note (EVIDENCE, legal, not a price): ServiceTitan also sells revenue-based packages. Revenue GMV terms describe a “ServiceTitan Revenue Based Plus Package (Total Annual Revenue).” Fee = Committed Total Annual Revenue × Rate / 12, plus overage. The Rate is not published (order form only). Construction variant: construction GMV terms. That is another reason a blog “per-tech” number is not the whole bill.
How the two published products compare once you are past five people
Full feature table lives on the flagship compare. The lines that matter when you are leaving that band:
| Item | Jobber (official) | Housecall Pro (official) | ServiceTitan (official) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public list at ~10 logins | Connect 10 $229/mo annual; Grow 10 $299; Plus 10 $449 | MAX $299/mo annual for 8, then +$75/mo per extra | None. Request Pricing. |
| Extra seats | Not on /pricing/. $29/mo is EVIDENCE from Jobber’s vs-HCP page. 16+ = sales. | Essentials +$100; MAX +$75. FACT. | Per-technician. No rate. |
| Trial | 14 days, Grow, no card | 14 days, MAX, no card | Free Demo. No self-serve trial stated. |
| Contract | Monthly no-commitment, monthly 1-year commitment, or annual prepaid (non-refundable) | “Does not require long-term contracts.” | Not on /pricing. |
| Memberships / recurring service plans | Connect: automatic payments for recurring work (US/Canada). Recurring jobs on industry pages. | MAX: Recurring Service Plans. Lower-plan add-on price not published. | “Customizable Memberships” on all three packages. |
| Price book | Not named on /pricing/ | Named on Basic | Named on all three packages |
| Payroll | Not named on /pricing/ | Named under “Get more done,” no dollar | “Payroll Management” / Works: “Configurable Payroll” |
| Call booking / recording | AI Receptionist $29/mo add-on; included on Plus | CSR AI call answering is a paid feature, dollar not published | Call Booking on all three packages; Call Recording called out on the pricing page |
| Open API | API tour listed as a $99 “value,” not a plan price | MAX: open API access | Not on the pricing-page chip list we fetched |
Do not treat Jobber’s vs-ServiceTitan checkmarks as ServiceTitan’s feature list. Prefer servicetitan.com/pricing.
HVAC, lawn, cleaning — still the same three vendors
ServiceTitan publishes industry pages for HVAC and lawn care. Aspire is “part of the ServiceTitan family of companies” and says it serves “primarily the landscape and clean industries” (Aspire). Those pages still route to a demo. No list price.
Trade-level pressure points, with the published 1–10 math:
- Best lawn care software for small shops (2026)
- Best cleaning business software for small shops (2026)
- Best HVAC software for small shops (2026)
A 40-truck fleet is outside this site’s job. This page exists so a shop leaving 1–10 users has an honest next step, not a fake ServiceTitan sticker.
Trials and next step
Jobber and Housecall Pro: start the official 14-day trial on the high plan, then buy the SKU that matches headcount. ServiceTitan: request a demo and a quote. Ask what is in the order form — per-tech, revenue-based, implementation, processing — because none of that is on the public price list.
We may earn a commission if you subscribe to Jobber or Housecall Pro through the links below. Disclosure. Prices do not change. There is no ServiceTitan affiliate CTA on this page.
- Start Jobber’s 14-day Grow trial — no credit card. Official terms: Jobber pricing.
- Start Housecall Pro’s 14-day MAX trial — no credit card. Official terms: Housecall Pro pricing. Official signup: housecallpro.com/signup.
- Request ServiceTitan pricing or a Free Demo.
Until the Jobber and Housecall Pro placeholders resolve, use the official pricing pages. Small Shop Fit is not a coupon site and does not publish “codes.”
FAQ
How much does ServiceTitan cost per technician?
ServiceTitan does not publish that number. Official language is per-technician pricing designed to fit the business; the CTA is Request Pricing. We will not guess.
Should a five-person shop demo ServiceTitan?
Maybe, if you already have (or are hiring) a full-time office person and you want the membership / payroll / call-booking stack they list. The two-way page is the cost comparison you can actually finish. Five-user Connect and Essentials both list $149/mo annual.
Is Jobber cheaper than Housecall Pro at ten people?
On the published subscription, Connect for 10 ($229/mo annual) is lower than MAX plus two seats ($449/mo). Grow for 10 matches MAX at eight users on the $299 sticker. The plans are not the same product. See the flagship compare.
Does ServiceTitan have a free trial?
Not on the pricing page we fetched. Official path is a Free Demo.
