Key takeaways
- Job costing: Jobber Grow ($149 solo) vs Housecall Pro Basic ($59).
- 5 users: Jobber Connect and Housecall Pro Essentials both $149/mo; Zentive Standard $95.
- Up to 15 users: Zentive Growth Pro $175/mo vs Jobber Connect 15 $299/mo.

Why look past Jobber
Jobber is a solid default: published prices, a 14-day Grow trial, month-to-month billing. Small shops tend to shop around for three reasons we can see on the price lists:
- Job costing sits on Grow. Jobber puts job costing on Grow ($149/mo for 1 user, $229/mo for 5, billed annually). Housecall Pro has it on Basic.
- Seat bundles. Jobber sells 1 / 5 / 10 / 15-user bundles plus “Add users for $29/mo each.” A crew that keeps growing can end up paying for more seats than it uses.
- Budget. A 2–5 person crew pays $149/mo annual on Connect. Zentive prints $95/mo for up to 5 users.

FAQ
What is the best Jobber alternative for a small business?
For most 1–8 person shops the closest like-for-like alternative is Housecall Pro, which prints $59, $149 and $299/mo billed annually. If price matters most and you have 5 to 15 people, Zentive prints $95/mo (up to 5 users) and $175/mo (up to 15 users) billed annually.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Jobber?
For a solo, Jobber Core at $29/mo billed annually is already the lowest published price we track. For 2–15 people, Zentive’s published annual prices ($95 for up to 5 users, $175 for up to 15) are lower than Jobber Connect ($149 for 5, $229 for 10, $299 for 15). The feature lists differ.
Is Housecall Pro better than Jobber?
Neither wins outright. At five users both cost $149/mo billed annually. Housecall Pro includes job costing on Basic; Jobber is cheaper for a solo on Core. See our Jobber vs Housecall Pro comparison.
Is ServiceTitan a Jobber alternative for small shops?
Only if you have office staff and expect to grow. ServiceTitan doesn’t publish prices, uses per-technician pricing, and starts with a demo rather than a self-serve trial.
